Easy Pumpkin Dump Cake

A simple fall dessert made by layering spiced pumpkin filling, dry cake mix, pecans, and melted butter, then baking until golden and set.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 15 oz can pumpkin puree
  • 1 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 box , 15.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter , melted

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Whisk together pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt until smooth.
  3. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top without stirring.
  5. Scatter chopped pecans over the cake mix layer.
  6. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top, covering as much dry mix as possible.
  7. Bake 50–55 minutes until golden and the center is set with a slight jiggle.
  8. Cool 20 minutes before serving.
